One of the very few compensations for the horrible, snow filled winter that I know is coming is the leaves around my place. The reds of the Sumach are absolutely glorious at this time of year. Wife and I were setting at kitchen table this morning at 8:30 having out coffee (I'd been up since 7:00 making popcorn engine parts) and the sun was just coming over the hill, highligting the leaves out in front. We aren't really far enough north to get the frosts which turn the maples so red at this time of year, but the Sumachs make up for it. Hope you enjoy.---Brian

Hi Brian,

Beautiful pictures!!!
The trees down my area are also starting to turn.
It is a pretty time of year indeed!

Thanksgiving weekend has given us some beautiful weather this year!!
Hope you had a good one!

Andrew

Nice pics Brian the leaves here turned and are full of color to but can't get any pictures as they are all up in Canada now! We had 70+mph winds go through here and blew them for the most part away. On the upside a whole lot less raking! :big: :big: :big:

I'll be out raking Docs leaves this afternoon.

Nice pics Brian, but there sure is a lot of grass there. And while it looks very nice, all I can think of is lawn mowing. I've been mowing yards since I was eleven and now that I'm approaching old age, I've slowly been getting rid of the grassy areas around my house and replacing them with ground cover. I blame Ben Franklin.

Trout--lots of grass but 99% is accessable by riding lawnmower. I went out two years ago and bought a new 23 HP riding lawnmower with the hydrostatic drive and its a pure pleasure to run. I also bought a self propelled pushmower and a new weedeater for the remaining 1%.---and if that isn't enough, my oldest kid who owes me so much money that he'll be 95 before he pays it all back can be 'Leaned on' to come over and do the lawn!! ;D ;D ;D
