Happy Thanksgiving anyway!

Holly crap; that's *****y!

Things like this is why I keep getting funny looks from the better half. I just had to go measure the rolls in our house. Yep, 4".

Now, who else had to go measure the rolls? :big:

Kenny

Hmmm....must have been made on a Friday. :shrug: Rof}

Old package from the store 4.5" the new one that was opened 4" gives a hole new meaning to being downsized! :big:

Well we have some process variance

Mine measure 4.25"........and I can vouch for the accuracy of the measurement as I used an excellent quality engineers scale... :big:

Of all the days to cut back.... 8)

Had to go'n measure ours now!
All brands 4"high.The kicker is in the diameter.
Average price brand 4 1/4".El cheapo 31/2".
High end quality rolls may have as much as 3 layers though,so the large diameter doesn't necessarily mean more sheets.
I DO lead such a sad life :big:

I recently changed bath soap for nearly the same reason. I noticed it was disappearing much faster than it once did and would break in half long before it reached sliver stage. Upon inspection, I learned they were whipping more air into the bar and had removed about 25% of the mass by forming a dip on one face of the bar. Softer soap and much less of it.

The really annoying part was the opaque package size was the same as always and it hid the missing bit of soap, all or the same price it was before they began cheating us. The only indication is a weight change imprinted in tiny type on the package. As a result, I no longer buy DIAL soap.

Small annoyances can drive you mad... something like being nibbled to death by ducks.

In this house we don't have *those* kinds of problems,,,,,, we use paper towels! Rof} Rof}

Keep an eye on the patterned rolls as well. :eek:
The deeper the pattern is stamped the less dense the roll is. :shrug: You get less sheets for the same diameter.

Now where is that link to the dunny (Ozzie for toilet) roll conspiracy theorists I had?

Fortunately something I've managed to avoid to press ::) ........... and I hope to continue the same .......

.... as for measuring toilet rolls, whatever lights your candle chaps, I have no idea as to the size of ours and hope to continue in said state of blissful ignorance ;D :D ;D

Ohh CC you know you want to!.... :D

come on .....come on!

Dave

OK now for the REAL STORY!

Those Jumbo Rolls don't really save you any money.
They are just standard rolls squished down to make them
look bigger.

(Sorry I couldn't help but reply! :D)
