Anyone have a surplus DC motor controller along the lines of a MC-60 treadmill controller? I need to replace the controller on my 7x lathe as it has started blowing fuses under average loads.
I have an MC-60 treadmill controller on my X2 mill and love it. I also have the same controller running my sand muller. I could borrow the controller on the muller for a temporary fix, but I want a permanent solution.
I have added a ¼ x 1 ¼ fuse holder in parallel to the original 5mm fuse holder as the 5mm fuses are hard to find and very expensive locally.
I am also contemplating the various torque increase/speed reduction mods I have found on the web.
I am familiar with the KBCI controllers and the controllers from Surplus Center, but have the usual problem, Im retired and on a small pension. I am willing to trade a larger DC treadmill motor for a good controller.
