My 60+ year of Craftsman, King Seeley bench drill press has been a real workhorse over the years. My only frustration is the 20-pitch depth stop, and the hours of shop time wasted fiddling with that adjustment. I was fortunate to score a $10 Push Button Bridgeport Depth Stop at a local estate sale. and incorporated a 9"Llpiece of 1/2-20UNF all thread to replace the old depth stop rod. The former .437 depth rod casting guide needs to be opened up to .500D and I used a carbide rotary file. I am very pleased with this improvement plus the small pinch on depth stops also work on the new depth rod. BTW Mr Pete/Tubalcain recently made a video on a push depth stop build.
