WELL DONE! - If it was easy I should have done that on my couple of vertical boilers. - Instead I use gravity.... but with care. (And a couple of little brackets).
Next time I may use a length of square bar rolled into a circle, then machined on the lathe to convert the square to angle... Cheating isn't a problem to me if results work out OK. And I like to make swarf...
I guess the base is a burner? - How do you ignite it?

The term fo this is bending the hard way. It applies to bending Chanel and bending flat stock on he widest side. I worked in s big metal welding shop where the machine bent 7” wide by 1” thick steel “ bar 180 deg to a given dimension across corners of the end of the bar. It had a series of heavy steel wheels with guide rails to prevent twisting . I don’t remember how much ower the motor that drove he hydraulic pump had but it was a lot. Therewere change wheels and guides for angle and Chanel. It must have come off a navy ship as it had a “US NAVY LETTERING sign on it. It didn’t even groan when bending the bars. A very scary machine to operate. The process actually created some heat in the bar. There was a chart that you bent to then checked and re bent as needed.when it had cooled. You could not guess at the correction as the bars did not always repeat due to residual stress in them.
