An Error Has Occurred!
The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved.

I keep getting this message every time I try to post, what's up?

George,
I'm afraid I don't have an immediate answer for you.
While we do have free disk space, it is being used up rather quickly. We have very nearly 20,000 photos stored on our server alone. It's possible that we have reached some sort of quota, I don't know, I'll have to research it.

Meanwhile, I highly recommend everyone use third party storage for pictures. It reduces the amount of work our server has to do by shifting some of that work to a separate computer.

Google and Photobucket are two companies that provide free storage just for signing up. They are reliable and easy to use.

Sorry for the inconvenience. I'll find an answer for you as soon as I can.

Thanks Kevin,
I'll do that.
George

George (and everyone),

The attachments issue has been resolved.

While we do welcome uploads of attachments to your posts it is still highly recommended (not required!) that everyone use a third-party photo server such as Photobucket, Flickr or Picasa.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience while this issue was being resolved.
