Anyone buy off alibaba.com

Hi all I am thinking of getting a mini lathe to go with my new shed as I will have plenty of room. The question is can anyone recomend any supplier from Alibaba who is easy to deal with and sells a decent machine. There are hundreds on there just trying to narrow it down a bit? Or is it not worth trying to cut out the middle man?

Practical Machinist and posts about mini lathes? I'd strongly caution the OP to NOT post anything on that forum asking about a mini lathe. They will lock the thread for sure. And they won't be kind about telling you to read the forum rules.
