Unless you're replacing existing bolts in threaded holes, why not just use an M10 x 50 hex bolt, there's only .5 mm difference in diameter?Hi
I´m looking for two 3/8¨-16 bolts, minimum 2¨ long. Does anyone have any idea of a source ? I am in Istria and everything is metric here.
Cheers
Peter
Except that it has gone walkabout. Thank you for a brilliant idea.Peter, it sounds like you have this solved. I was going to suggest searching for a Caterpillar dealer serving your area. Among the parts they sell, bolts and other hardware are included. For example, part number 2J3565 is a 3/8 - 16 hex head bolt 2 3/8 inches long.

Chuck
I am, unfortunately. I do have M10s as .10, .25 and .50 and had thought of that.Unless you're replacing existing bolts in threaded holes, why not just use an M10 x 50 hex bolt, there's only .5 mm difference in diameter?
That size should be the local hardware store. Mc master Carr will have them but you will have to get had dozen or so. I got something similar on Amazon but in stainless. The ones have are shorter as I was using them to mount a vice on my mil table mine are shorter or I’d offer them . Usually even the home stores have nut and bolt selections grade 8 are a little harder to get . We have a tractor supply store that sells grade 8 bolts like that by the pound if I could get to the shop I probably have a handful. Even auto parts stores have small selection of nuts and bolts around that size.Hi

Thank you, but minimum appears to be 40 bucks !I'm happy to ship you some bolts, I have a drawer or two of them - look up shipping at www.usps.com, and if you think it's reasonable mesage me. I may have both hex head, fillister head, allen cap screw and stove bolt types, I don't know until I look and I won't look until you ask.
Thank you ! It seems to be. I've found an Italian manufacturer Cart but even their shipping seems excessive. I´m checking to see if Harleys use them with the Croatian Harley Davidson agent. I´ll probably wind up making them !I think a lot of us would send you what you need from the USA, but shipping could be a problem..??
