    I was down on the coast camping this weekend and remembered the Seaport was having an engine show. They had several large stationary steamers as well as lots of one lunger marines and models. Great show and people. Here is a video of a Beam engine with a double acting pump.

    I was figuring out the remaining steps I have to do on the bearings and when I got to the oil cup holes I realized that on the large one that houses the valve spool I will short circuit the flow if I drill thru for the oil cup.     Hi Chuck, Wet blast with glass beads works pretty well. I use that process at work before silver brazing. Also the people that do furniture stripping around here have an acid tank they do the old copper fire extinguishers in. They come out real nice and it does equally well on the plaques...

    TB2 - Modifications to the build

    Forgot to mention the recess is only 1/32" on the plans. If we increase that recess it will be easier to put in on an angle and break out on center. just a thought, Dick I think deeper recess would look better too.
