    Chevy V8 Scale Engine Plane

Never use the cut-off tool below center. Dead on or a few thousandths high is preferred. Scale method is really only applicable when doing full cut off operation, to get " close enough " to what your machine can handle without " fighting " the tool. Good Luck. .

How to use a Conical Edge Finder

Proper use of the tool requires spindle to be rotating. Total concept of the tool depends upon that spinning action.

    Rotary table problems

Good luck with whatever path you choose. If it were mine I think I would strip it down, clean and re-assemble to factory specs, if you have them. They are often included with the units, but if not are readily available on manufacturer's, websites. Careful readjustment to spec and proper lube...

    Drag saw question

" Brain in reverse similar to saw action", should have said "easing push stroke", in slo-mo, chips pretty equal both ways. dizzying effect regardless.

    Drag saw question

Hello, My assumption is ( from viewing the video ) , the eccentric action of the guide rod assembly causes slight lift ( higher angle ) at the rear of the blade on the return stroke, easing the "pull" a bit , hence few chips on return stroke and major chips on forward stroke.

    Elmer’s #5 Geared Engine . . . maybe

Hello, not sure if I grasp exactly what you are suggesting, but I would advocate for buying holders for such tiny end mills. I was fortunate enough to have them supplied for every size imaginable where I was employed during my machine career so I have a drawer full of all sizes from (...

    Volstro Rotary Milling Head

The collets are an "E" type and swiss made machines are all I have found that use them besides Volstro Rotary. They do not match any charts or offerings from collet makers spec sheets I have been able to discover. I do not think Volstro noted any collet designation of type or angles at each...

    Volstro Rotary Milling Head

In case this post is still being read, I have the Volstro Rotary unit and need a couple missing collets. I would really love to know just what the actual collet designation is, if anyone out there might know ? The collets I am missing are 1/4" and 5/16"; also 7/16" if there is such a thing...

    Clutch motor

The point being made is that you can only reduce the motor pulley very slightly before have belt problems… No way to reduce the pulley down to the size you would require for halving the RPMs. Good luck in your efforts, it seems you are fixed upon the Sewing Mach. motor even though it is the...
