fire brick (or whatever its called)

Peter; I went looking for the light weight white stuff (technical term) but locally could only find this - tan colored heavier stuff (more technical terms); http://www.homehardware.ca/en/cat/search/_/N-2pqfZ67l/Ne-67n/Ntk-All_EN?Ntt=fire+brick Garry

    Offenhauser 270 ???

It's not just a set of drawings. The book is a detailed build instruction manual. Yes the drawings are included but also details on building tooling, machining setups etc. are documented. If I remember correctly there is a forum on Yahoo - but not very active. I didn't have much luck...

    3 cylinder 2-stroke

"Anyone ever riding the Kawasaki triple could never forget the raw sound of the air cooled triple...I close my eyes it's still there." You mean like this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tz0XsRbygig I suspect there are enough cross sectional drawings in the factory shop manuals to...

    Another Poppin project.

Thanks J. I think you intended to type 0.032 - 0.035" and 0.090 - 0.094" - anyway I've redlined my drawing set. I'll probably eliminate a few fins at the case end for cosmetic reasons so placing an oiler shouldn't be to problematic. A cylinder head looking like whatever you supported the...

J.; What fin spacing and fin width did you end up with? I prefer the look of yours to the original drawings. Cheers Garry

    Plastic safe threadlocker?

Zoltan; Loctite list a threadlocker specifically for use on plastics and metals. Loctite 425 Assure, blue strength. Since the screws are small blue grade may provide sufficient strength. http://www.henkelna.com/product-search-1554.htm?nodeid=8797887234049...

Making Gears from 1144 Stress Proof Steel

Brian; Ron Colonna (Quarter Scale Offy engine fame) advised me that he uses 1144 for gears, crankshafts, cylinder sleeves, and camshafts. No heat treating/tempering. Cheers Garry
