    Who made this now-destroyed engine?

What was this? I see it's an oscillator with reverse, melted in a fire and destroyed by corrosion... my brother found it under a house. The crank still turns over freely, haha.

    Deburring wheels

One of the grinder guys at work keeps a grey 3m deburring wheel on one of the little surface grinders, but I don't know which it is. It's a bit like a really solid Scotch-Brite pad, and I really like the finish it leaves on steel. It's a bit too aggressive on aluminum.

    SX3 Conversion

Excellent! I've often wished for something like that... even more now that I've got two machines to run between.

    Harbor Freight Micro-Lathe

I think all of the Seif machines are changing, different motor controllers or something, but I've seen several of the small mills discontinued in threads on CNCzone.

    Another Oops

Hmmm.... good question. On one hand, I've become pretty jaded to heavily- and over-loaded machines and the occasional mishap over the years. On the other hand, this is MY heavily-loaded machine and I'd rather not break it yet. I guess, "half man and half machine" is a safe answer, and...

    Another Oops

Wow, Zeep, you answered my out-loud comments as I clicked this thread. ;D Yes, this was take one! Like the threading video, I hit the Big Green Button, and pointed a camera...although this video was a lot shakier, as I kept fighting feeds and speeds to kill chatter and have a reasonable...

    CNC Sherline Lathe Project

Thanks, yeah, I know... This was running a sample threading routine that comes with EMC, and the zero point was...at the bottom of the thread if I remember correctly. Onscreen, it looked like it was going to start threading out where the cutter started chamfering air. ;D I can't wait to start...
