    Twin Motor

I will add it to my list of engines that I want to cast. It will be item No. 1,472. My list is long. So little time; so many engines. .

    Shows keep getting smaller!

Well, I am in the same boat (welcome to the club). It is not a matter of me spending on shows instead of golf or other hobbies. I don't have other hobbies, and I still don't have money for attending shows. Prices have gone up to the point that for me, I feel lucky to be able to pay bills, much...

    Twin Motor

Video of a Humber. Seems like a pretty advanced engine design for its time, especially the water cooling.

    Twin Motor

This page talks about a Humber motorcycle engine that was water-cooled, and it looks a lot like the engine in the first post. I think it is indeed a Humber motorcycle engine. Edit: On second thought, I think it is a Humber adapted for marine use, since there is a splined shaft out the back...

It does resemble the Humber on this page, but I am not seeing three cylinders. http://douglas-self.com/MUSEUM/TRANSPORT/motorcycle/motorcycle.htm .

    Twin Motor

I found this engine, but not the same (Gutbrod Superior). Interesting engine though, 2-stroke, with direct fuel injection in the early 50's. https://autotechnika.hu/cikkek/motor-eroatvitel/8890/az-elso-koezvetlen-benzin-befecskendezesu-gepjarmumotor The page is in Hungarian, but my browser...

    Twin Motor

This twin motor is listed on ebay. Says "water-cooled, not sure what it came out of". I would guess an auto engine ? Or maybe a boat engine ? Not sure really. Can't say I have ever seen an engine quite like this one. Any ideas on what this motor is, and what it was used for ? (not my photos)...

Time to start a Snow build

Some very nice engine builds you have there. I am sure you can pull off a Snow engine, although it may take a while. Do you have some plans to use as a go-by ? .

    Shows keep getting smaller!

I had hoped to attend the National Truck and Car Museum show, but after I added up the cost of gas, food, hotel, and money lost from not working for 4 days, the financial hit was too much. Inflation has been significant, and the cost to attend a show this year is a lot more than it was last time...

    Midlands Model Engineering Exhibition 2024

Some of the things that jump out at me are the painting on the locomotives and the steam tractors. I generally don't recall seeing such eleborate paint work here. Some of the models are more complex than what I have seen at shows here, such as the compound steam engine. Overall, there is much...

That is a nice looking/running engine. Is it as large as it looks ? It looks big. .

    Midlands Model Engineering Exhibition 2024

There is definitely a striking contrast between the US shows and the UK shows. The UK folks have some stunning work for sure. .

    Midlands Model Engineering Exhibition 2024

I see this as a serious problem in the US, and I took note of this at the 2019 NAMES show. I call it the "blue hair club", with all due respect; walkers, canes, crutches, etc. (I am not exactly a spring chicken myself, and have a cane). No young people in sight. At another show (Soule, in...

Some most impressive work. You folks over yonder got talent. I like that Viking boat too. Lots of serious effort to set up a show like that. Thanks for posting; great video ! .
