Yes. My poor typing skills strike again.

    Laser cut parts

You have to send them a .STP or STL file. Quote comes in just a couple of minutes.

    Ball bearing center

OK I will try to regrind it in the headstock and if that does not work I will just buy a new one. I should be able to cobble up something to keep it from rotating.

    Laser cut parts

I just had some gears laser cut from 1/8" brass and they came out very nice. The price was also very good at about $8 each for a 2" dia. gear. There does seem to be a $40 minimum so I have four spares. No connection to them but others may find it useful. sendcutsent.com

    Ball bearing center

I have this ball bearing center which got too close the the tool bit. I would like to regrind the point but I cannot figure out how to get it apart. There is no hole through from the back and the front seal or shield does not appear to be easily removed. Some centers appear to have a front...

    2024 Indiana model engine show

Are you able to take food into the building or at least snacks? Are there vending machines?

    Tangential tooling

Obviously I am not the only one who has a problem figuring out how the bits are sharpened. I have seen variations of the holder in right hand and left hand and also with the bit set at 45 deg.point forward and also with a round bit. All of these would require a different grind. I am thinking...

    Tangential tooling

OK Thanks. That is what was confusing me. I know that it needs both side and rear rake so I was wondering if the rake was generated in how the tool bit is ground. I will keep looking for another design or make my own. The $100 price plus shipping for the eccentric seems kink of steep. Also I...

    Tangential tooling

I have been thinking about making some tangential tool holders for the lathe. I found this which shows one design. There are many other similar designs. http://theamateurmachineshop.com/index.php/projects/13-tangential-lathe-tooling Has anyone used this type of tooling and if so there must be...

    2024 Indiana model engine show

I have not been to either of those unless you mean Jeffries Antiques at Findlay. We have stopped there. I read my Kindle and my wife looks at the antiques. Is Jungle Jim's the flea market just north of Cincinnati?

    2024 Indiana model engine show

Yes. I saw the video but I have never been there so I am not familiar with the layout. I guess that I will have to go to see how it is set up. I have driven past the building several times as we have been on our way to visit our daughter in Cincinnati but my wife was along and has no interest in...

    2024 Indiana model engine show

So am I correct in assuming that the model engine show is set up in the same area as the cars in the aisles and not in a separate area?

    2024 Indiana model engine show

Ok. I will take a look at the website. I will probably go. I live about 2 hours away so it is doable.

How big is this show? Does the ticket let you into all of the museum or just the Model Engine Show? I have not been able to find out much information on this other than what is shown here.

    End of an (electrical) era

I just ordered one to give it a try. Not much invested so it is worth trying. What kind of power are you using? One or two AA or does it take more power than that?

    End of an (electrical) era

That is something that I have never heard of. I looked on eBay for spark generator and all it shows is a push button ignitor for barbeque grills. Could you post a link to one on eBay?

    Sandblaster!!!

The downside is that you are getting older and less alert so you keep doing things wrong so you have to do them over again. Don't ask why I know about that this week. :)

    Internal gear

I just printed out the gear in PLA and it looks good. I got sidetracked because I had made some modifications to my Anet A8 printer and the Y belt tensioner broke so I had to cobble things in order to print a new one.

    3D printed steam engine

Yes. Send the link I would at least like to take a look at it. I could print it since you have proven that it works OK.
