Paul - At this time I haven't done the 3 bolt mod or tram yet...they are next Wanted to play with new machine before I take it all apart !! The Auto feed works very well...but a PITA to put on !!

I have the older style black ones, and my only complaint is that the battery saver turns the display off every 5 minutes. Does the newer style do that as well? I haven't noticed them gpoing off at all until I turn them off.

Hello All, Is there something better out there to change the draw bar nut/shaft on the G0704 (BF 20)? That little 9mm square post is a really small. I'm very new at this but very mechanically inclined (for the most part). I have used a brigdeport before with the big nut on top. Seems like it...

That's it !! That's how I went about it...also saw it on another for the exact same way...worked out great....It was going sooo well...made the brackets for the scale...works like a champ !! Started on the reader bracket..all went soooo smooth !!!! Until I had to come upstairs for some reason...

So when you pull/ loosen the rubber off the back of the table...wouldn't you lose your swarf blocking ability then ?

This is what I got done today for the Y axis...used angle alum for brackets...attatched with 8x32 srews and made a little standoff on lathe for the actual reader. Worked out pretty well. Not sure about the X axis mounting position at all...anyone with a suggestion ??

Thanx again for the input !! I wasn't sure about how to make the fins but taking out with a parting tool could work. Maybe I should shrink the motor down to a more reasonable size for my equipment. That would work..right ? I don't know that much about the electrics and spark plug that small tho.

Are my machines big enough for...Making a Hoglet engine ? The flywheels look too big for my lathe. I have a 7x 16 mini lathe and a G0704 mill. Currently just making static models currently. Thanx again, V 45

Yupper I agree...When I called Grzz they said none in any of the 3 warehouses !! Should of been about 6-8 week wait time...3 weeks later got a call to set up delivery time !! So it must of had final assembly on the ride over LOL ;D

My mill is a Grizzly G0704..I only just got it in Feb 2012...it was made in Jan 12

Thank you all for the replies !! I have a G0704 (BF 20) mill, I'm in PA...stateside. I want to make static and running motors (eventually...when skill level increases). Reason for a 6 in version is size of my mill. I would like to get a R/T now when funds allow and not to buy the wrong one just...

If you wanted to buy a horizontal/ vertical rotary table in a 6 inch version. Which one would you buy and why ?? I have been looking around catalogs and the net. Is there a better brand than others? What accessory's would you want it to come with ? Thanx again, V 45
