Thanks for the encouragement Wizard, really appreciate it. Almost finished my fourth basic steam engine, this time with a valve. The failures and stupid mistakes are lessening in numbers and my confidence is showing slow growth.
As far as retirement goes, as a man with almost 20 years into that phase of his life, I'm a fervent supporter of the lifestyle. At least for those with some pretty serious hobbies and interests, as I'm sure most on this forum have.
I've ordered some graphite and test tubes and hope to tackle the Stirling 60 next.
