It looks like my "surprise" holiday gift is going to be a 6" Kurt vise.
I currently have the 4" Glacern vise with not a drill hole in it, Glacern V-jaws, regular and spoked handles, and the swivel base (which I never used.) I'll probably put it on local Craigslist (no shipping) or EBay when I get the Kurt in December. Another possibility is to take it to the auction at Cabin Fever in April with a reserve.

The prices on the Glacern website are
Vise $319
V-jaw $79.99
Swivel base $94.99

I know we all think whatever we have is worth more than reality would suggest. Does $325 seem fair? I would also drive up to 2 hours or so to deliver.

I need to know if I'm in the ballpark.

Swivel base is probably "worthless" relative to a used vise. That said, 4" vises are popular for smaller mills than a BP, so $300 +/- is reasonable. Actually, used Kurt 4" vises often sell for more than used 6" Kurts.

The Cabin Fever people take 20% of the sales price, so you'll probably do better online or via CL.

What is your thinking about the base being "worthless?"

That people will value the vise the same w/wo the swivel. The swivel base can be sold separately for someone who needs it. Most mills that use 4" vises have limited Z travel, so the base is wasted space if it's not needed. You yourself say you never used it.
