Very nice small Mill

It looks like a well built mill but there's no head space on it. I don't know how you'd even drill a hole with it. It seems like it was only made for milling.

they are very good mills or so i have heard as for vertical milling there is a better attachment with its own enclosed drive so you get more Z i think you will have to google Astra mill someone has one on the net also i think they are still made in Italy... i could be wrong about all this but

i dont think its a bad size i would jump on it if i had the cash or was in the same country lol

Yes, the turret for vertical milling is usually mounted on the dovetail slide on the top of the machine and when this is so it greatly improves the travel range. I may be wrong, (and often am), but I doubt this would turn it into a mill/drill.
