I was thinking of offsetting the connecting rods. I used to have a Hanover cycle car engine. It was a 76 cube 45 degree V twin IOE engine, the cylinders were inline but the rods were side by side on a single crank pin, the rods were bent in a dog leg to line up with the cylinders.
Yes, I designed and built the engine in the link which I gave you. If you look at the link you will see the parts that are offset. I still have the engine. I'm pretty sure that if you follow the link there is a complete set of drawings that can be downloaded free from a hosting site I use.---Brian Rupnow http://www.mediafire.com/file/l5kw3n56pexauty/RUPNOW_OPPOSED_PISTON_ENGINE_DRAWINGS.zip/file
That link took me to something called media fire where they wanted me to sign up, the last time I signed into a link I started getting an extra charge on my phone bill.
Just don't sign in. The download is free, you don't have to sign in to anything. Media-Fire is a free hosting site. You may have to work you way past some stupid advertisements, but just don't sign in to anything. If you can't make it work, send me an email at [email protected] and I will download it and send you the files.---Brian
I opened the link in a new tab, and clicked the big green "Download" button next to the file name and zip icon. No problem, no pop ups asking for sign in or other issues. Best to all, Stan
