30 years ago I was given the chance to run one, or try to. :-\

The owner of the first machine shop I ever worked for had one in the
corner of his office. He let me give it a go.
Then he spent the rest of the day wiping the finger prints off of it.

what a lathe, i thought my first lathe was old.............faye scott made in new york (i think) in about 1880, but it used a flat belt powered by an overhead line shaft.
