hi im joren a 20 year old student from belgium
i study for car engineering and at home we have a few classic motorcycles
and one of it is an la nef with an dion bouton engine
thats why i chose this engine to make
i get the casting from classic-motors and al the plans
this is my first scale engine i build

That's a nice looking engine. Interesting valve assembly, I haven't seen valve cages like those.

Zinc or "white metal" castings? Did you buy those or cast them yourself? Be interesting to see that process.

De dion was my first engine as well.
I will never forget how scare i was when i drilled first hole into casting.

yes its a casting kit from classic-motors
but i have a litle problem to get it running i use the glow plug but When I try to start the engine, then the spark plug goes directly wet
or there is absolutely no fuel in the combustion chamber it's all or nothing
would anyone know an efficient and cheap carb?
 
ok then I will look to order the carb
or would it be better to have an spark plug ignition?
and what would be a simple and good ignition?

Call to Mr Konmuller he is owner of classic motor /excellent guy/ and he will tell you what ignition is the best for your engine.
