taper end mill

Hi gang,

I'm trying to purchase a set of taper end mill
and have no sucess I don't know if I'm not calling
the proper way

I don't think you'll get a set as there are too many variables to consider, eg. Diameter and degree of taper. You can buy individually like this one on Fleabay - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-8-Carbi...695?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&hash=item20bc9ad71f

If you need to mill an angle you would set the angle required by
A: setting the desired angle by off-setting the head or
B: clamping the work at the desired angle to the cutter in the spindle.

try a google for Tapered End Mills may not find sets but a lot out there.

MSC lists 1137 diferent ones ranging from 1/2 degree per side taper to 45 degrees per side asorted sizes and materials.

A 45-degree endmill is very useful for milling chamfers.

MSC is an industrial supply company like McMaster Carr.

Best thing to do here is order the endmill you need and not a set. Spend your hard earned on a good quality cutter instead of a set of cheap cutters that you will use only half of.

What angle and depth of cut are you needing? If known I can help you locate one.
