I plan to make a tailstock for my Vortex dividing head.

I had done the attached sketch with a MK2 moveable up/Down and fastened with a 10mm bolt BUT ...

How can I make the up/Down movement ADJUSTABLE with a screw ?

Maybe you could use the same principle as adjustable lathe toolpost holders? A threaded stud is attached to the movable tail stock block, it engages a matching threaded adjuster wheel. Turn the wheel one way or another, it jacks it up/down into alignment. The trick is the wheel would have to be resing against a cross bar or some kind of datum piece, ideally on the top for easy access.

you could make plates on each side with jack bolts like they use on motorcycle chain adjusters
