And trust me, it is strange. I just had a phone conversation with my 91 year old mother, about a strange little poem or song that my grandpa used to recite when I was a kid, 60 years ago.
I have never been able to find any reference to it on the internet, nor any other search method. It went like this---"Under the table old Basil did creep, Where Bill Landons dog lay so soundly asleep. He cut off its head, its four paws and its tail, and the other four quarters he packed in a pail. Saying your welcome, welcome, totally welcome, Entirely welcome Bill Landon's old dog!!!"---Now that is just about the weirdest thing I've ever heard. I'm sure my grandfather didn't make it up. My mom remembers him singing or saying it when SHE was a kid in the 1920's. Has anybody on here ever heard of it or know anything about it????---Brian
