OK VERY COOL!

Question...


I see the flyball governer running....but how do you govern a stirling engine.....increase and decrease the heat input?.... ???

OK inquireing minds want to know....how is that accomplished?

There does not seem to be any way of governing the heat input on this engine.
He puts the flame in and waits for the speed to be up and running and then actuates the clutch mechanism to get the turntable spinning.

If you listen to the music being played you can hear it speeding up and slowing down.

It must have been one of the things you just had to live with in those days!!

The engine is not governed its the turntable that is governed either by gear or friction plate (clutch) engaging or disengaging from the engine.

It might be a braking govenor.

I've restored a number of phonographs, polyphons and jukeboxes but I've never seen one of those.

That is just too cool.
