Hi guys,
This one is also a school project, almost finished, (partly)on hold. 31 units have been made this schoolyear.
Almost finished, because I have a small problem. While assembling the units we discovered that the pistons, made out of stubsteel, were to small and on top of it not perfectly round at all. Lucky me I had a small stock of old Stubsteel so a few of these units have been finished and running.
It's a engine of own design and is partly made out of resin. One of the reason to use resin is make the upper cover 'containershaped' to allow some extra cooling, water/ice on top of the engine. Another reason to use resin is to learn my pupils the molding/casting technique.
As school is finished now the rest of the engines have to wait to be finished until the start of next schoolyear.
Needles to say my pupils loved to make these engines.
The specific colors in the upper cover has all to do with the color of their individual footballteam...
