Just a few picks from the Gala a great day lots of people came despite the poor weather.
For me this was the most interesting exhibit an Avling and Porter Roller, the model is based on a 1936 roller that they built using spare parts left over from when they stopped making steamers they replaced the boiler with a single cylinder desile engine the model is fitted with a single cylinder petrol engine based on a hit and miss design.
The level of detail in the model was astounding,
This is the oil lamp its just over 1" long
and yes the light is works.
The front lamp
A drip feed oiler
The steaming bay
A few more exhibits
A retired banker on the tread mill:- I jest not, people were craking all day saying thats the only tome they had seen a banker break sweat.
