small engine at Cowichan bay

I was at the Cowichan Bay Maritime Center on Vancouver Island about a month ago. Amongst their collection was this marine engine. The motor guy there said someone built the boiler for it but it couldn't deliver enough steam. It looks like two single cylinder engines bolted together. I've got more pics if anyone is interested.
