Im working on machining (and soldering) the Weaver 1cc diesel engine. Here is a question about preparing the parts for soldering (need to solder the intake boss to the cylinder). both parts are 1018 steel. planning to use safety-silv 56. After watching the Blondihacks video here: - it looks like taking the time to screw down the parts is worth the effort (along with proper cleaning and pre- and post- pickling, etc.). So here is what I have in mind for the solder setup. any recommendations?

for something that small using Snopake (whiteout) to mask where you dont want the solder to go is a worthwhile exercise especially if you thin it with cellulose thinners you will get a finer line and filing scratch marks on the female part of the joint will make the solder flow better, and as a well known silver solder expert from the says the silver solder you can see isn't doing anything!!!
