Sieg Sx 2.3 Mill

Hi all I need some help with the above mill. Doing a bit of maintenance like adjusting gibs and general tidy up.
Having issue with the column dovetail gib. Does this gib come out from the top and if I keep adjusting it down should the head become tight or locked up. If so mine doesn't I can push the gib down until the bottom adjuster is well out and still no binding in the dovetail.
Is there something I'm missing ?. Any help would be much appreciated.

Can you provide a photo? I have a SIEG Mini-Mill variant and may be able to help, but there is no listing for a SX2.3 on the SIEG website.

I think the head/column is the same as the brushless SX2.7 and the gib is larger at the top so comes out that way. The lower adjusting screw on the 2.7 that I have does stick out but I've never wound the gib in far enough to see if it locks the head. The spare gibs are supplied over long for fitting and trimming to suit the individual machine.
