Shop built sparkplugs for model engines

I found my Corian and machined the bodies for two sparkplugs. Had to go downtown and buy some silver solder, as I was out. Yeowwww--that stuff is expensive. I bought 5 ounces of 1/16" diameter silver solder "Easy-flo 45" and it cost me $174. Canadian.

Someone recommended that same brand to me. For an easier $ pill to swallow, Harris Safety-Silv-45 is comparable & comes in smaller weight unit at similar $/gram if its just for a small job. I've seen it cheaper online, Amazon etc. once you factor shipping cost or vehicle gas. 40% might be cheaper yet unless the 5% makes a difference.

The biggest difference of Safety-Silv vs Easy-Flo is the lack of cadmium. I'm surprised Easy-Flo is still available in Canada as I think the cadmium solders are banned in Europe.
