A few things about us.

we like introductions people will likely not help you unless we know something about you.
we are a group of hobby machinist that primarily builds engines. But someone may be willing to help for fair compensation.
It is considered rude to jump in and hijack a thread. it is against the rules to make multiple posts with the same subject or request.

so you are not off to the best start.

Well said and done.

A post I saw a few years ago on another forum had photos of an exhibit in France, with all sorts of odd gears, star shapes, heart shaped, square shape and bullet shaped. Most had a mating gear as well. None were in an application, so it was tough to figure the purpose of them. All were big 2 to 5 feet, many cast and used as cast no machining of the teeth, others well machined.

In the case of the OP, I think they are wanting diameter, but the translation software came up with square.
