a chuck and a tail stock center would be good or a collet and tailstock center but head stock center to tail stock center would be less stiff

You might have better luck if you use a high tolerance/ground insert. Sandvik makes some RCGX inserts for stuff like aluminium and brass, though the catalogue says you can use them for other materials that aren't hardened. You will have likely noticed that the inserts you got with that tool don't seem all that sharp. Those would almost certainly be RCMT inserts. The third letter specifies the tolerance the insert is made to. An RCMT is M-tolerance, which is not ground after moulding, whereas an RCGX is ground sharp.

Since you're in Singapore as I found from your website, you are luckier than me since you have a Sandvik branch basically right on your doorstep. They're located right next to Changi Airport.
