It may well be but I’ve already got someone wanting to come down from Sydney and pick it up for $10k so I can’t be too far off the mark. There is almost 20 years age difference from the $5900 lathe and mine. I guess some people might like to turn long pieces over 19/32 and still be able to keep the Myford name.
You are doing well. Must be a very nice example of the breed. I think they are now priced at about 8000 Pounds new so with shipping and import/GST taxes etc would be well over the $20,000 mark landed in Oz. Half of brand new price could be seen as pretty fair for someone who really wants one if it's in top condition.
