Apologies if this has been covered before. I am building my first 2 stroke glow engine with ringed pistons and I need to prevent the rings from rotating to stop the ends from snapping when they meet the ports. The cylinder is 19mm diameter and the rings only 1mm wide, so although the obvious solution is to put a peg into the ring groove and cut a small recess in the back of the rings, this is going to be a little tricky to achieve.
Are there any other tried and tested methods?
Many thanks
