After getting a lathe and not turning for many years I have taken on quite an ambitious project, The Panther Pup by Bill Reichart. I purchased the plans and castings which arrived to New Zealand in 5 days which is most impressive. The plans do have full instructions on making the castings but I thought for this one I would take the easy way out.
After a week of studying the plans and scrounging up some materials I made a start tonight.
I thought that I would start simple by making the first valve. I have used brass as it is in the plans but may change to stainless steel later on.
It will take me a while to do as I juggle it between work and family life but will update this when I can.
Any tips and advice would really be appreciated.
