Yesterday I completed an automaton of a little shoemaker, so now I'm out of work AGAIN! That is the hard part of life, thinking up something new to do.

The helical cam that moves the arms and head back and forth, was machined using my homemade helical attachment.

Wow, that a nice little toy you made. For your next project make an eccentric for me ;)

very clever Birk! cnc has nothing on you ;D it hurts to even think about how you worked indexing the cam, change the helix angle, direction etc. I think i'll just watch the video an enjoy.

Although these sites don't give plans they do show a lot of innovative ideas that may set your mind off again:

Birk,

I already left you a comment on you tube, but here is similar, for the workmanship and  The helical attachment is mind boggling

How about a ferris wheel or a merry go round? lots of bits on those to keep you busy! ;D

Ralph.

That was fast Birk. The last time I saw him he was still missing an arm, now he is done. Painted and everything. He looks great. Looking forward to what's next.

Birk your works never fail to amaze me.

Beautiful!
