Well a bit of diversion lately . Every once in a while i get a brain storm to make something for someone. I owe a wedding gift and another coming up so made a couple of these.

24 x 7 shelf did a bit of scroll work and welded up with the little wire feed welder.
Now just to finish the pine shelves to set in.

Looks great!
Personally made gifts are the best.
I always tell my kids I prefer they make me a card rather than spend money.

Nicely done, Tin. It will last for generations, too.

There is nothing nicer than making something for someone, it shows that your thoughts are with them all the time, rather than the time it takes to pick something up from a shop.

Very nice job indeed.

Cool. I made a couple metal pieces for a local school today, but my welding's not near that neat... good thing it's mostly buried ;)

Thanks for the kudos guys here is another Item to be given away not exactly metal work but did use the lathe.

Great job on both those projects. The personnel touch which makes them one of a kind is also what makes them so special in my mind.

Cheers :)
