Well I made some code corrections and can't go any further until I make the mechanical part of the winder. I'll update when I have more to say.

I never thought of using a pedometer. My original winder was going to be mostly mechanical, I even bought a cheap calculator to use as a winding counter. But I decided to give this way a try first.

Here is a video from my coil winding play list. It is all mechanical and works very good it is called the side winder. I have wound about a dozen coils with it an am very happy with the way the project came out.

Cool, yours is similar to what I thought of first but.....
My problem is that I have to wind ignition coils, HV step up coils, trigger coils, large induction coil, and pickup coils, using 4 different wire sizes and 5 different bobbins. We'll see.
