Picked this up in a box of older machinists tools last weekend. Have no idea what era it is from. It spins free and has just minor surface rust. Anyone had any experience with one like it?? At least it is made in the U.S.A. !!

I've seen a tach just like that several years ago, in a box of stuff from a guy that bought and resold government surplus...but it didn't have the box or either of the rubber tips. ???
 
Millers falls is a good old brand IIRC now out of business.
IIRC I have one or two tools made by them an inside mic set i think. I have a stearrett tach like that.
