Greetings all.

I have been on this forum for a while, usually lurking in the castings area. I have recently started on a different type of build,
and I thought that members here might be interested. After receiving some encouragement from members and moderators,
I will post here as things progress.

I have a detailed build log:
Poppapope's Steam Car - STW Lykamobile

When you read the blog, understand that the last post is listed first. So go to the side menu and read the older posts in order.
Then you can bookmark the page and get the most current posts when you come back in.

I am just getting started on the build, and it will likely take up to another year.
I know that most of you deal in "models" and since that is what was listed on the US Customs Forms,
"Model Steam Engine" - I guess this may qualify. Sort of.

It is a replica - full size - of the 1899 Locomobile Stanley Stanhope Model 1.
It has been updated - like it actually has brakes, not just a clamp around the differential.

So please peruse my blog, feel free to share with others, comments here or on the blog will be welcome.

I will post occasional updates here as things go forward, but the meaty details will be in the blog.

Regards to all,
Jim Pope
