I have some queries about the N&W 0-8-0 S1/S1A Switchers. Specifically about the tender on these prototypes. There appear to be two types, one being similar to the C&O 0-8-0 tender and the other being a redisgned version with greater capacity, the latter being seen on the majority of N&W engines. I am interested in the use of each of these and any specifications, drawings or plans that might be available. Suggestions of relevant and useful printed material also gratefully accepted.
I have been looking for an appropriate forum and cannot find anything that seems useful. Can anyone point me in the right direction.
