Good morning,
I just recently started looking around online a youtube video machining a steam model engine pm#3 turned me to the idea. Then I found out that there is minature scaled gas motors that are completely fuctional. I love to Mechanic and fix things. I have been a Military Machinist for over 5 years now. Currently working out of a good size shop with three lathes, two mills, radial drill press, and a couple of table drill presses. I would love to be able to start some engine builds and maybe get to the point where I understand enough to design my own like some in this post have before. I would also like to pick up a little on the self casting and moding. If there is any pointers, advice or even a plan or kit to start with I would greatly Appreciate any and all information. Thanks from Southern Maryland.

Welcome Johnny.--I have built and posted plans for about 13 engines on this forum. Some of the engines I designed myself, some I built from other peoples designs, and some are a mixture of designs. Its a wonderful hobby, and a great bunch of folks on this forum. Welcome!!!---Brian

Welcome Johnny, one of the members here is currently working on a PMR #3 with far less tooling that you have access to. Glad you found us and hope you will enjoy your time here.

Welcome Johnny. wEc1 As you can probably already tell, you've found the right forum to get started. You can feel at home here. Nice country there in southern MD. Spent most of my working years just across the Potomac from there.

Regards,
Rudy
