I have been reading posts on this site for weeks. Time to join in.
I live in north central Fl. about 20 miles west of Ocala.
Have been playing at machining for some years with my old '37 Craftsman 12". Just recently bought a HF X2 mill and have already done some mods. Home built belt drive, LMS gas shock, colum mod plus more.

I will post some photos as my column support is different than any I have seen here.
