I have great respect for Myfordboy, and have learned a great deal about foundry and pattern work from him.
He is on the commercial/sales side of things, and so it is really a business he is running, not really a non-commercial hobby.
I don't have a problem with him being commercial.
We have had some companies who masquerade as hobby folks, and who post engines as if they were a hobby build, but really they are engines for sale by said company.
The commercial aspect of this hobby is fine, but it needs to be kept separate from the non-commercial hobby work on this forum.
We have specific areas on this forum for items for sale/commercial posts.
I dream of the days of retirement, but I am not sure that is in the cards for me.
The joke I tell everyone is "Instead of a full retirement, I am just going to cut back and work part time, such as only 80 hours a week......".
I work too many hours now, but can't do anything about it.
Glad to have you here posting your builds.
We need to retain as many engine builders as possible in order to have any hope of preserving this hobby for the future generations.
Some very nice work you have, I look forward to seeing your continued progress on this build.
