A Jensen Model 20G Steam Engine with a DIY speed reducing Transmission Running a modified Academy Beam Water Pump. The transmission I made is a real bonus for running accessories off a model or toy steam engine. Makes accessories much more realistic being able to turn over slowly. Thanks for watching, Jim

Thanks Brian, I've always struggled to run accessories with a realistic slower speed. Looked at the Empire transmissions of old and made a vertical (as shown in the video) and a horizontal one. The axles run on bearings so even a modest toy steam engine will spin it up easily. Really happy with how it came up.

Thanks Jim loved the video and the background shots, would love to visit your "man cave" .
Have struggled with drive belts, and have never heard of PU (previously used "O" ring and glue with limited success), so great to learn from others when isolated from other enthusiasts like I am.
Will build the gear box you demonstrated, any chance of getting the dimensions of the wheel combinations. Are they turned from a single piece of aluminum or connected together in some way.

Love the clear tube for the pump body. Good educational tool for demonstrating a poppet valve.
