I too am enjoying the read up these great men. I wonder if there is a site that goes into more detail of the men that shaped our machining past?

Just to get in a plug- that link above to the American Precision Museum. Note they have a nice model engineering show in October. Its small, but a good bunch of guys, and on the Friday before the show they have the museum open for exhibitors, with some nice wine and cheese, and a chance to look around the museum. Some years they open the storage areas to the exhibitors so you can look through their back rooms.

I have not seen the date for this years show yet, but it was always the last weekend in Oct, until last year they tried moving it up a week or two.
