I was just looking to buy or make some chip shields for my mill and I seen this in the latest sale at work (they sell off things not used every month).

So I bid a buck heck the aluminum extrusion is worth that. And I ended up getting it.

Grabbed a piece of steel strapping and bent and drilled one hole and made this.
Took all of 15 minutes.

And now I have a shield and it only cost me $1.00 ans 15 minutes.
I think that was a good deal and I some extrusion for a bonus!

Great Idea Doc, I need to make me one of those.

I got a set of four brand new hub caps for a Chevy Monza for a Buck. In Jamestown as a matter of fact, on my way to Whapeton for college about eleven years ago. I think it was a Pamida, but I could be wrong.

Nice find Doc...but remember now that those hot chips aren't landing on your arms to keep you alert, you'll need to find a substitute :big:
