I am looking for a plan for a motor, similar to the Regner Piccolo.

Hello friends,

I would like to ask you for help in looking for a plan for a motor as Regner Piccolo sells.
2- cylinders reversing oscillate

It's not about saving €300, but I enjoy building engines and I would like to design and build this engine myself.
Unfortunately, I ran into a problem, but I don't know how the engine distribution is designed.

Maybe a more detailed photo of the disassembled reverse valve of that engine would help.

The plan without dimensions is also ok. I can deal with him.

I can then share the build on this forum.

Thank you and greetings from Slovakia

Hi Richard,

I see your post is a bit old, but if you're still working on this, I may be able to help.

Just looking at the picture, my guess is that the Piccolo uses two four way valves. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four-way_valve
A long cylinder with blind holes drilled to make the right angle passages in line with the cylinder openings on the frame which doubles as a valve body.

I can probably help with drawings too if you need, just shoot me the dimensions of the engine you want to build.

Ha! I don't remember seeing this post, but then in August I was looking for a place to live and living in my car. There are a couple places you might look, "Elmers", John-Toms, and JAM DeWaals are the three that come to mind. I believe I have most of Elmers engines and certainly some of John-Toms which the website closed down but the "Wayback machine", I thimpfks, still has them, also members here probably have some, and then J.DeWaals has lots of great stuff (altho' I complain about his cramped style).

If you can't find any of this stuff, let me know and I'll look thru my stuff. I would call the type of engine you are looking for as a "wobbler" but they also come with a name in a latin base (something like ex--...). Westbury might have made something like this too.

Hi Richard!
I am sending a drawing of a model from my archive that might shed more light on your problem.
It's the engine I was planning to build.
It will probably be in the next life.
Note: I am also from Slovakia.

Best regards
Josef

Friends,

thank you for the plans you shared with me.
I solved this problem in my own way, even though I had to re-manufacture the main part twice.

I will add a photo later.

Richard
