Hello everyone.
My name is Earl but some call me potman,
not because I'm know for smoking it but because I make pottery.
And... Umm... Ahhh... Yes, I admit I am a PROcrastinator !!!
You see, I like building things and I like precision machines
with their fine finished surfaces and all but the last time I
touched a lathe or mill was 45 years ago in High School
metalworking class. Always meant to do something about
that but just kept putting it off.
But now I have an 8 9 step plan to correct
the error of my ways so that I can try my hand at making
things that go poof poof clickity clickity too.
1. Finish painting new garage
2. Wire new garage
3. Get permits signed off
4. Paint kitchen/dining room (promises to keep you know)
5. Re-grade driveway
6. Refurbish old garage into workshop
7. Make pottery for Christmas presents
8. Hold down full-time+ job
And after reading how to move a Bridgeport into a basement
9. Buy a tractor to move my new machines into workshop
But, in the meantime I'll continue reading all the great stuff
you guys take the effort to write about and drool over the
nifty tools and engines you are building.
Thanks to all of you and especially the managers of this board
for making it happen.
